Delete your LavingtonPost account
You can close your account in the app, or contact our privacy team if you cannot sign in.

Close your account in the app
Open Profile, choose Account Security, then select “Delete Account”. Review the notice, confirm with the offered password or Google method, and submit. Your account is closed immediately after confirmation.

Request deletion without the app
Email dpo@lavingtonpost.com from the email address associated with your account. Use the subject “Account deletion request” and include your username plus the email address or phone number on the account so we can verify ownership.

Keep your receipt
We provide a reference for your request. Where a manual review is required, we aim to complete it and respond within 30 days, subject to identity verification and any lawful retention duties.
What happens to your data
- • Your profile is removed from active use and your posts and discussions are hidden.
- • Private messages, uploaded files, legacy externally hosted media, and other remaining records enter a deletion review.
- • Payment and moderation records may be retained after review where necessary and permitted by law.
- • Account deletion does not cancel a Google Play or other external subscription and does not itself issue a refund. Cancel the subscription with the provider before deleting the account.
